GM Europe Engineering Material Specifications

GME Standards are available in sections, or together at a discount as a collection. Each collection is segmented to offer greater choice for those suppliers who do not need the complete collection.

GME Engineering Material Specifications Collection - ES100
Includes: The Engineering Material Specifications come from GME’s Product Engineering group. These standards are mainly involved with “direct materials,” i.e. materials that become part of the car such as the plastic used in a bumper.

GME’s Material Specifications/“Technische Lieferbedingungen” either define single materials (single material specification), or groups of materials (group material specification). Within the group material specifications either the common specification of a group of material is defined (e.g. requirement for all plastics), or several related single material specifications are listed under so called material codes.

Individual Sections:

  • GME Metals - ES101
  • GME Nonmetallic Material - ES102
  • GME Miscellaneous Materials - ES103
  • GME Plastics 1 Styrenic Materials Miscellaneous- ES104
  • GME Plastics 2 Polyamides Polyolefins - ES105
  • GME Plastics 3 Polyurethane Elastomers - ES106
