Holden, designs, engineers, and manufactures vehicles and engines for domestic sales in Australia and for export markets. Holden’s parent company is United Stated based General Motors (GM). Holden is responsible for the vehicle sales, service, and marketing of GM brands in Australia and New Zealand. With 2005 average daily vehicle production of 691 and average daily engine production of 1,395, Holden is a significant commercial enterprise.
