This specification describes a material that is suitable for use to uniformly fit seat upholstery to seat bun without the use of hog rings. The tunnel tie material consists of a textured polyester flange and tunnel with a nylon cord passing through the tunnel. Type II of this material is a warp hint multifilament polyester with a 32 mm (1.25") separation between the joins for a more ergonomic locking process. The seat trim using this material must be designed so that there is no excessive load on the tunnel tie.
