ASCOPE

This standards defines the material requirements for a cast iron suitable for use on high performance vehicle brake discs. The material is a high carbon iron with a copper addition to ensure a pearlitic matrix. It has been developed with medium strength and high heat dissipation to give good brake refinement properties. NOTE: This material requires stress relieving at the finished casting stage prior to machining and use.
