Scope:
1 SCOPE.
This specification covers the basic requirements for a hard durable black corrosion resistant coating which will pass 240 h salt spray. The coating may be produced by a bulk processing system, or if parts are unsuitable for bulk processing, by racking. This coating may be metallic (Plating or metal flake in organic binder), organic, inorganic, or any number and combination of above type coating. Cadmium is not an acceptable material.
