Scope:
The material defined by this specification is a polyester primer
surfacer, modified with either epoxy or acrylic resins, possessing
good gloss, enamel holdout, and corrosion resistance. It is
formulated to cure at 135 °C minimum metal temperature and has a
low V.O.C. (Volatile Organic Content) to aid assembly plant
compliance with governmental clean air regulations. The material
contains rust inhibitive pigments to provide maximum corrosion
resistance in critical areas. Application is usually by high
efficiency electrostatic equipment.
