This standard covers the dimensions, mechanical properties and methods of testing applicable to helical spring lock washers in the regular and heavy series fabricated from carbon steel and corrosion resistant steel. The heavy series washers are preferred for use in coordinated design programs and are not normally produced in corrosion resistant materials.
