Scope:
This standard specifies the method of measuring the concentration of
volatile organic compounds
(VOC) emitted from the materials of car parts in order to facilitate
researches for reducing
in-occupant-room VOC including 7 compounds; formaldehyde,
acetaldehyde, toluene, xylene,
ethylbenzene, styrene and tetradecan, among the substances which are
listed in the guideline on the
interior air contaminants made by the Ministry of Health, Labor and
Welfare.
