Scope:
1 Scope This standard describes the requirements of commercial gaskets used in automotive engine intake manifold and throttle body applications. Fluorocarbon rubber (FKM) was added to meet 2004 low permeation (California Air Resource Board Level II and PZEV) requirements. Use GMW3083 for specifying engine oil pan gaskets and GM6433M for cover gaskets. The constructional and component features covered by this standard are described below.
