Scope:
Purpose. The object of this test method is to determine the impact resistance of plastic components
under specified conditions. This test method shall be used for plastic components, which, in
service, are likely to be subjected to impact stresses.
Definitions.
Impact Resistance: The impact resistance to this test method is defined as the resistance of
plastic components to impact stress.
Note: Nothing in the specification supersedes applicable laws and regulations unless specific
exemption has been obtained.
Note: In the event of conflict between the English and domestic language, the English language
shall take precedence.
