Scope:
This test method is used to determine the grain variation of leather,
i.e., loose grain. This
method is applicable to non-laminated leather up to a thickness of 2.0
mm as well as laminated
leather up to a thickness of 5 mm.
Additional a root cause analysis procedure is described for test
samples, where grain variation
appears.
This method contains two procedures:
• Method A for non laminated leather.
• Method B for laminated leather
Note: Nothing in the specification supersedes applicable laws and
regulations unless specific
exemption has been obtained.
