1. SCOPE

This standard for Metric Hex Flange Head Tapping Screws of thread forming Types AB and B and thread cutting Types BF and BT conforms in all essentials with the American National Standard covering metric tapping screws. It should be noted the hexagon widths on these screws differ from those on the corresponding sizes of hex and hex washer head screws and, therefore, the wrench sizes will be affected accordingly.
