Scope:
This Standard refers to the National Fire Protection Association
(NFPA-86A) designation of Class
"A" Ovens and Furnaces, and shall be applicable to new installations
and extensions to existing
equipment covered by this classification.
Within the scope of this Standard, an oven shall be any heated
enclosure operating at approximately
atmospheric pressure, used for the processing of materials containing
solvent and/or water at
temperatures below 1,400°F (760°C).
