1. SCOPE

This standard covering Metric Heavy Hex Flange Head Bolts in sizes M10 through M20 conforms in all essentials with the American National Standard, ANSI B18.2.3.9M -Metric Heavy Hex Flange Screws. The hexagon widths on these bolts are the same as those on Metric Hex Bolts and Metric Hex Nuts. These bolts are intended for use in applications where the flange head is required to provide the large bearing contact area and it is also necessary to maintain wrench sizes that are common with the standard metric hex bolts and nuts.
