Scope:
C SCOPE
1 This standard is intended to provide guidance for the testing and evaluation of steering system noise, particularly rattles and knocks, found when driving at part lock over a broken surface. It applies to Jaguar Product Development for sign off/acceptance but can be used to assist with Production problem solving. As the overriding measure of success with this procedure is a subjective drive/ assessment by Product Development and/ or NOVA-C, the use of the instrumentation described is optional and depends upon the level of investigation being carried out.
