Scope:

1 SCOPE.

This specification defines the requirements of the plating process final rinse and dry off stages to ensure paint adhesion when applied over chrome plated parts. These parts are normally used in exterior applications such as name plate ornamentation, headlamp bezels, escutcheons, moldings, and radiator grilles. Substrates normally covered by this specification include ferrous, non ferrous and plastic based materials.
