Scope:
Specification DX551000 covers the requirements for colored and
bright anodic coatings on aluminum and aluminum alloy parts.
The specification number shown in the title is a generic number
for several anodic coatings on aluminum. Table 1 shows the
specification numbers to be used on the drawings and reflects the
basic requirements of the specification. All rinses, coatings, and
topcoats shall be hexavalent chromium
