Scope:

1 SCOPE.

This procedure covers the testing of general purpose electromechanical relays including contact forms SPST, SPDT, DPDT, or multiple coil devices with or without electronics. It presents a series of physical, environmental, and durability tests and product requirements which are used to determine the capability of a relay as specified by the part drawing. Where a user¿s engineering practices or needs are not applicable to all features of this standard, it is intended that as many details as is practical be followed Relay reliability requirements are defined in GM9lllP: Standard Reliability Program for Relays. Refer to GM911 1P for proper identification and monitoring of key control characteristics for relays.
