Scope:
1 SCOPE.
This specification covers the requimments for polishing compounds used to restore the gloss of enamel finishes. Typically these compounds are used with rotary finishing machines to remove the sanding scratches incurred during the first step of finesse repair operations. Objectionable haze or fine swirl marks from this operation are then removed by using buffing compounds covered under specification 9982074, using orbital finishing machines.
