INTRODUCTION

The Dimensioning and Tolerancing practices of the American Society of Mechanical Engineers ASME Y14.5M–1994 and Y14.8M–1996 have been adopted for engineering drawings related to castings or forgings.

Other standards referenced in ASME Y14.5M–1994 and Y14.8M–1996 have not been adopted by FAO unless specifically referenced in the Ford Motor Company Engineering CAD & Drafting Standards.
