These methods are applicable to all glycol-based anti- freeze compounds. Two methods are given: one refers to a laboratory- type instrument and the other to a portable instrument. The strength of anti- freeze may be determined by a number of methods. This method has the advantage of being quick, requires less than 1ml solution and is not sensitive to the normal range of temperatures.
