Scope:
This standard covers hex lobular wrenching studs (hereinafter referred
to as 'torx stud') for
general use in automobiles.
Remarks 1. This standard shall apply to studs with lobes provided in
the nut side end for the
purpose of improving efficiency in operation.
2. The units and numerical values are in accordance with the System of
International (SI) units,
and those in braces { } in accordance with the conventional unit
system, appended for reference.
3. This standard shall not apply to parts which require welding
performance, 300°C or higher
temperature resistance (200°C or higher for boron steel), and
− 50°C or lower
temperature resistance.
