Scope:

1. SCOPE

This standard covering Metric Slotted Hex Nuts conforms in all essentials with American National Standard ANSI B18.2.4.3M -Metric Slotted Hex Nuts. It recognizes the M10 size with 15.00mm hexagon width across flats which differ s from the ISO Standard M10 size having a 16.00mm hexagon width. However, nuts of all sizes produced to this standard are considered to be functionally interchangeable with nuts conforming to ISO draft standards for these products and they shall be specified for all new metric designs where slotted nuts are required.
