Title
ABS, ELECTROPLATING GRADE, HEAT RESISTANT HIGH STRENGTH ***TO BE USED WITH FORD WSS-M99P1111-A***
Ford Motor Company
Publication Date:
Aug 11, 2009
Scope:
The material defined by this specification is a specially
formulated heat resistant, high strength, electroplating grade of
acrylonitrile butadiene styrene (ABS) plastic. Since this material
is nonconductive, a conductive coating must be applied before the
plastic can be electrolytically plated. Conductivity is achieved
commercially by the electroless method. The electrolytic plating
process itself is basically the same as used with many metals.
