Scope:
1. SCOPE
This standard covers Metric Hardened Small Flat Washers intended for us in place of helical spring lock washers in applications where it is desired to provide a flat, uniform and/or hardened bearing surface for threaded fasteners to seat upon. Metric small flat washers shall be designated by the nominal size and, to avoid possible confusion with the numbered sizes of inch series washers, it is recommended the signifier "mm" be included following the whole number nominal metric washer size for designations up to and including 12 mm. The nominal washer sizes listed in the dimensional tabulation indicate that the washers are intended for use with the corresponding screw, bolt or nut sizes.
