Scope:

1 SCOPE.

This standard describes the test procedures and test flows that shall be used for the design validation and product validation of electronic modules that are mounted in the interior, trunk or doors of the vehicle and are not subject to direct contact by an occupant of the vehicle. This standard is not intended to validate the individual circuit board components within the module. The individual circuit board components shall be validated by the supplier prior to the start of design validation.
