Scope:
1 SCOPE.
This standard describes a test procedure for evaluating the degree of surface waviness encountered in the forming of sheet metal which is not readily removed by a normal buffing operation. This condition referred to as roping is objectionable from the appearance standpoint for the production of automotive moldings or trim parts.
