This Specification covers the minimum performance requirements for vacuum deposited metal coatings intended for exterior automobile body parts. The coating consists of a base primer to provide adhesion, a vacuum deposited metal to provide a bright chromium like appearance and a clear top coat to protect the metallic surface.
