Scope:
1. SCOPE
This specification covers a pressure sensitive hot melt adhesive suitable for bonding sound absorber/barrier materials to various surfaces around the interior vehicle floor pan, or side wall areas. The surfaces may be painted metal or plastic (typically polypropylene or ABS). This adhesive is also used for other miscellaneous interior applications. This hot melt has a heat resistance of 80° C. The adhesive shall be transparent and amber in color and free of air and foreign unmixed particles. It must be capable of being dispensed between temperatures of 170 to 205° C. The adhesive must not oxidize or char in the pot while at indicated temperatures.
