Scope:
B OBJECT The object of this Standard is to outline the Plasma Spot Welding requirements for autobody steel under normal conditions of manufacture and service. It covers Plasma Spot Welding methods for passenger car panels and components in material and thicknesses such as those specified in JMS 10.10.02, JMS 10.10.06 and JMS 10.10.13. The assessment of the quality of a weld can usually be made using relevant inspection procedures as recommended by local quality Manager. The Standard is divided into the three following sections dealing with those aspects which will influence most of the welded product.
