This Standard defines the requirements for anodic oxidation coatings as applied to aluminium alloy castings in order to prevent cosmetic and/ or structural corrosion damage. It does not cover anodic coatings for decorative trim items (refer to JMS 10.01.01), hard anodic coatings applied for engineering purposes or thin pre- treatment films.
