Scope:

This specification covers the properties of a recycled ABS+PC heat stabilized, black, injection moldable resin. This resin is comparable to the virgin resin GMP.ABS+PC.002.

Paintability. Approved paint systems that can be used on this material are listed in the GM Approved Paint on Parts Systems (GM APOPS) database. Criteria for approval of unique plastic/paint systems are also provided.

Symbol. The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is 〈ABS+PC〉

Typical Application. Typical applications include the following: Instrument panel retainers and substrates; knee bolster substrates; glove boxes; interior brackets; door substrates; door trim substrates and arm rest carriers; and Instrument panel and console bins (flocked or non-critical appearance)

Recycled Materials. Materials under this specification shall have a minimum of 25% recycled content by weight, as defined in GMW3116. Post-consumer and/or post-industrial materials apply.
