Scope:
1. SCOPE
This specification defines the flammability performance requirements for non-metallic materials (coatings, elastomers, plastics, textiles, etc.) which must conform to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standard (FMVSS) No. 302. This specification is utilized in Engineering Materials Specifications and on engineering drawings when industry standards (ASTM, SAE, etc.) are designated.
