Title
Painted Surface Body Cleaning Cloth
General Motors North America
Publication Date:
Dec 1, 2004
Scope:
This specification covers a lint-free cloth that is used to clean
(without the use of solvents)
painted and unpainted surfaces in preparation for bonding
tape-attached components. When used dry
it will remove grease, silicone, solvents, dust, dirt, fingerprints,
polish residue, and weld
splatter, etc., without scratching, smearing, and streaking. It can
also be used wet.
The cloth is machine washable (up to 10 washes) and reusable. It can
be used dry, dampened with
water, and used with solvents.
The fiber shape and construction of the cloth allows it to attract and
gather liquids, grease, and
particles of dirt and dust. Grease, liquids, small and large particles
are trapped and kept away
from the surface being cleaned, preventing scratching, smearing, and
streaking.
