Scope:
This standard covers properties of various types of glass fiber
reinforced, heat stabilized polyamide 66 (nylon 66), which are used
in injected form for molded components.
Material Description. Additional
characteristics beyond the amount of glass fiber reinforcement will
be indicated by code letters as described in Table 1 and shown in
Table 2 and Paragraph 8.
Symbols. The material abbreviations according
to ISO 11469 are shown in Table 2.
Typical Applications. Typical applications
include the following: Electrical Components, Pedals, Fans, Fan
Shrouds.
Remarks. Replaced specifications are shown in
Table 2.
The classification into groups is according to the different
ranges of glass fiber content.
