Scope:

This specification covers the properties of an ABS homopolymer suitable for use in blow molding operations

Paintability. Approved paint systems that can be used on this material are listed in the GM Approved Paint on Parts Systems (GM APOPS) database. Criteria for approval of unique plastic/paint systems are also provided. Parts made from this material must meet the requirements of GM4497M.

Symbol. The material abbreviation according to ISO 11469 is 〈ABS〉

Typical Application. Typical applications include blow molded spoilers.
