Scope:
2. SCOPE This standard covers the tolerances applying to the dimensions of geometrical features of metallic parts made through cutting work, to which the tolerance values are not attached individually but shown collectively on drawings (hereinafter called general geometrical tolerance). Cutting work means the machining process in which cutting tools produce chips.
