Scope:
1. SCOPE This specification covers the requirements for heavy build, polyimide, round, copper magnet wire for use in the manufacture of automotive electrical systems. The minimum relative thermal index of this material shall be 240 degree C when tested in accordance with ASTM D-2307. The insulating film shall be free of foreign materials and imperfections and be a smooth continuous coating. This specification is similar to NEMA 1000M and NEMA MW 16-C.
