Scope:

1. SCOPE

The Metric Coiled Thread Inserts covered by this standard consist of bushings coiled from wire having a diamond shaped cross section which are designed to be screwed into specific tapped holes to form a metric internal thread of the nominal size. The inserts are driven into the tapped holes through the diametral tang provided which may be broken off or retained following installation, as best suits the application.
