B SCOPE
This Standard is applicable to all sheet steel, supplied with higher yield and tensile strengths than those steels covered in JMS 10.10.02. Such steels may be used to improve structural integrity or allow weight saving, via gauge reduction, for equivalent performance. Typical applications include BIW panels, bracketry, bumper beams and chassis components. Six classes of high strength steel are covered and guidelines included on their most suitable applications.
