Scope:
A SCOPE 1 This standards defines the material requirements for a cast iron suitable for use on high performance vehicle brake discs with high thermal stress. The material is a high carbon iron which shall have copper addition to ensure a pearlitic matrix. It has been developed with medium strength and high heat dissipation to give good brake refinement properties.
