Purpose.
Determination of tire rolling noise combined with the pass-by according to ISO 362: 1998.
Foreword.
Since the introduction of 96/20/EEC, tire noise, as a partial noise source for full vehicle passby noise, has become increasingly significant. For this purpose, there is a need for an improved definition of tire noise. This Test Procedure is used to determine tire noise under full load.
Applicability.
For all tires used in passenger cars, SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle) and LCV (Light Commercial Vehicle).
