B SCOPE

This Standard defines a procedure for assessing the light fastness of Plastics and other non- metallic materials as used within motor vehicle passenger components. Two methods are detailed: -Method 1 Describes a conventional twelve month exposure test at a tropical site. Method 2 Describes a procedure that can be adopted when there is insufficient time for conventional exposure testing to be carried out. However the results obtained must subsequently be confirmed by the procedure described in Method 1.
