Chinese Standards Committee Adopts TMC Traffic Information Standard

The Chinese National ITS Standardisation Committee (Chinese equivalent of European Committee for Standardization (CEN)/International Organization for Standardization (ISO)) approved standards for providing traffic information services based on the Radio Data System - Traffic Message Channel (RDS-TMC) method in mid-July.
RDS-TMC was promoted in China by the DYNASTY project (http://ertico.webhouse.net/en/subprojects/dynasty/home/).
The project was was funded by the European Commission, coordinated by public/private partnership ERTICO and supported by the Traffic Message Channel (TMC) Forum.
TMC service implementations were also recently carried out in the U.S. and Australia.
