As the demand for the exact resin to meet the design specifications using plastics materials increases, designers are faced with shorter and shorter lead times for new products and have to make these determinations quickly.

During the design process, designers have to determine which plastics materials meet the physical, mechanical, thermal and electrical properties required for their designs.

There are tens of thousands of resins from hundreds of manufacturers. And they are located in hundreds of manufacturer data sheets and Web sites. ThatÕs why it is sometimes difficult to find the exact resin with the properties engineers need for their designs.

To assist designers, the editors of IPS Plastics Digest have searched out the latest technical information from all available sources, and filtered it to give designers or purchasing agents just the information they need.
